Not as Bad as I Thought

I stressed all night and this morning about a parent-teacher-principal conference that I had today on my plan time. I was led to believe that the parent didn't think that their child deserved an F or D and said that she didn't know about it, and it was the one student who had not brought back a progress report (and I had made a mistake and forgotten to tear off the carbon copy so I had no proof). We cannot give F's to students whose parents are not given notification, either through the progress report or another method, and I had no proof that I had given an F on the progress report. So I was stressing and getting all my information together and beating myself up over making the mistake. However, when I got the meeting, the parent was more concerned about some girl problems, and she just wanted to know what to do because D's and F's were not acceptable. She was in no way contesting the fact that the grades were deserved. Ahhhh. Relief.

I am glad that today is Friday and that the weekend is ahead of me. Evan and I really need to clean out the garage, or more like straighten and organize it. We have several things we want to get done before the baby comes, and I want things more organized. We'll see if it happens. :-) Weekends are very unpredictable. :-)
