My little Nathan seems to be doing fine, and he only had one fussy spell yesterday evening. I haven't given him any Tylenol since 3:30 this morning, and he seems perfectly happy. One round of shots down; who knows how many to go. :-)
Yesterday when I got to the doctor's office he woke up in his carseat and got quite fussy. I had kept him in his carseat because I knew I would have to fill out paperwork. Well, once a guy at the window had to keep asking the secretary to repeat herself (due to my son's fussing), I picked him up and tried to hold him AND fill out paperwork. One of the secretaries then opened her window and said that she would hold him for me if I wanted. :-) She was a nice grandmotherly lady, and she walked him around while I quickly finished answering all the questions for Nathan. The questions are quite hilarious when being filled out for a baby...Do you smoke?...Do you exercise regularly? (I was on a roll checking "no" but had to go back and check "yes" for this one - ha)...Have you lost ten pounds in the last month?...Do you have any questions for the doctor? (How should I know? He just might!).
The doctor was a very nice guy; he said that he and his wife are expecting their first child. He seemed impressed with Nathan; he said that although Nathan is a big baby he has good muscle tone and isn't like some other 13-pound babies who can't push up or control their heads very well. :-) Okay, I'm bragging, but I think I should be able to after all I've been through to get him here and healthy! ;-) I told the doctor that I was going to ask him about Nathan spitting up so much but that after him being weighed I probably shouldn't worry about it. He said that if anything he is getting too much to eat. I told him that Nathan on average only nurses 7 minutes on each side (unless he is really sleepy), and the doctor said that he must be a really strong sucker-ha. That sounds weird. (For anyone who might be getting tired of hearing about Nathan, you might want to discontinue reading this blog...I don't think my topics are going to be very varied from here on out.) :-)
Well, my husband is home, so I should go.
