Yes, it itches. That's what happens whenever you get a bump/lump cut out of your head. Ick. I only had to get one stitch, and the doctor said that I could get my hair wet after 24 hours (the nurse had told me I would have to wait a week!), so it could've been worse. But, I was a little scared about getting it wet. I gave it 48 hours (almost), and I was still scared about getting it wet. And, sad to say, dried blood clumps are hard to get off of your head...especially if you aren't allowed to scrub. Ugh.
I'm sitting here, waiting for the doctor's office to call me back about Nathan. I am getting so tired of dealing with doctors' offices. I pretty sure you all know about the issues I had last time Nathan got his shots (I saw five holes and five stamps on his immunizations card; they said he had four shots; I said I saw five holes; the nurse who gave him the shots said he only got two in each leg). Soooo, I had been trying to get him back to his old doctor, but his old doctor was switching to a new practice and wasn't making appointments until after the first of the year...so I called after the first of the year. Well, they couldn't give shots this week, and Nathan was already a week overdue, so they said that I could just have his old doctor give him shots then switch back to his old doctor. I mean, now I know to watch and ask and watch some more. So we went. But Nathan has a place (bump/lump) on his bottom that this doctor says is from diaper rash gone weird (interesting since I've never seen diaper rash on him). This doctor prescribes an antibiotic, but Evan wants it verified with a doctor we trust. Sooooooo, I'm waiting once again. Did I mention that the nurse filled in some things on Nathan's card then said that he DID have five shots last time? Argh. Sometimes I wish I were a confrontational person who would just say, "Hey, I don't understand; everyone keeps changing what they say, and I'm not leaving until I fully understand what has gone on with this whole shots thing. AND I want the doctor in on the whole thing." Wouldn't that be nice? What to do, what to do.
