It is beautiful to see a heartbeat on a little smudge on a computer/sonogram screen. I was a bit scared for a minute because our little one was hiding out in a corner of his/her room and didn't want to be seen. But my doctor is very good at finding what he wants. ;-) My doctor said that our baby is just introverted and doesn't want to get out in the open yet. He said that I am about seven weeks along and my due date is December 19th. (Although according to Naomi, my due date is January 10th...just to be safe.) :-)
Nathan was good today during my appointment...he has no clue how his life will change in about 8 months. He's such a cutie. Today he was standing at our coffee table playing with something, and I had the radio on. I think some commercials were playing, then a Newsboys' song came on. He squealed and started dancing (bouncing) and waving his hand around. Then he took a step away from the coffee table and started dancing and clapping his hands...which resulted in him falling since he wasn't holding onto anything. He definitely knows good music. ;-) On the downside, he is learning how to throw fits. Not good. Definitely not good for mommies who don't exactly know what the best course of action is except to keep him from getting whatever he is throwing a fit for. Hmmmmm. He's still a cutie, though. :-) I keep getting told that with our combined temperments (mine and Evan's) there was no way we could get a complacent child. Hmmmm again. And MeeMaw was one of the people who told me that.....MeeMaw!! Of course, when I was little I did inform her that she was not my mommy and couldn't spank me. And after she proved me wrong, I told her that I didn't love her...and neither did Stephen. :-) Okay, enough of my prattling.
