My Day

My day has been interesting. Evan worked from home today, although he still has class this afternoon/evening. It has rained almost all day, and Nathan was not extremely happy about the fact that he did not get much outside time today. Have I mentioned that he cut a bottom molar yesterday??

My day started out pretty good. I got up and fed Nathan. As I was getting him out of his highchair, he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me, patting me on the back and saying, "Momma." Awwwwww. First hug!
I cleaned up after his breakfast, vacuumed, dusted, and put him down for a nap; then I realized that I had to go to Walmart for an emergency buy. :-( Sooo, I jumped in the car and headed to Walmart. I got out and headed for the entrance, and a guy almost hit me because he was backing out the wrong way and not watching where he was going. I just shook my head, his girlfriend saw me, so he honked at me and flipped me off. Nice. Yeah, I guess I should not think poorly of you because you don't watch where you are going when you are driving. I began to notice that I was not quite emotionally stable...well, I hadn't quite been emotionally stable all weekend. ha I bought my few items and check out, only to find out that my wallet was in Nathan's diaper bag, which was in our hall closet at home. Hmph. I drove back home, cried, got my wallet (Evan brought it out to me), and went back to Walmart. The only bad thing was that I had already scanned my coupon; and, although the cashier said she would save the transaction, she somehow lost the transaction, had to start over, and couldn't scan the coupon twice...so, no coupon. This all sounds trivial now; this morning the whole situation about did me in. ;-) Of course, I was also not feeling great, so that probably didn't help.
My accomplishment of the day was making veggie tortillas. Woo hoo!! I took pictures, but I'll post them later. I'm on Evan's computer right now. The tortillas are made with mashed, cooked veggies (I used broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots), whole wheat flour, white flour, and a few other things. They weren't perfect, but Nathan seemed to like them. Tortillas are a nice "preoccupying" food to give him because they don't make a mess (for example, I might give him a quarter of a tortilla when I am trying to make supper and I want him to wait to eat with us), and now I feel like he is actually getting something good when he eats a tortilla. :-) Good stuff all around.
Okay, bed time. I will try to post a few pictures tomorrow.
