Sunday

Soooo, Daddy had just shown Nathan how to go down the slide backwards. Nathan then decided to try it on his own (I think he decided; it may have been an accident). I'm not so sure he liked the backward part as well without Daddy there to slow him down. :-)

We went to church this morning, and it was my morning to volunteer in the nursery. The church always has a paid worker in every class with the volunteers, I guess to ensure that nothing goes wrong. This morning we had three adults in the toddler class because we had twelve toddlers (17-23 months). It's funny to see these kids grow; I've seen a lot of them since they were 6 months old. Nathan was really clingy at first, but after he figured out that I was not leaving he was fine. He actually seems to do better if I just leave him; he usually starts to be upset but then goes off to play. Today he was playing with the toy phones, jabbering away to someone. At one point he even walked over to one of the other boys and held the phone to his ear so the other boy could share in the experience. ;-) The other boy was quite happy and didn't even try to take the phone away. He just leaned his head over and grinned. ha That is actually a good thing for that particular boy; he is a very physical child who takes toys away from the other kids and shoves them if they happen to be in his way.

Okay, I must go. We have a party to attend, and my child is awake and wanting my attention. :-)
