Well, it was interesting. :-) Yesterday morning we went to "library time" which Nathan enjoys immensely. Nathan skipped his morning nap, played outside, and ate lunch. Then the piano tuner came, and I had to assure Nathan that he was fixing the piano. Nathan kept saying "nano?" in a pitiful voice as if I were just standing there letting someone dismantle our beloved piano. ;-)
We went outside again yesterday afternoon and enjoyed the balmy 60+ degree weather. Then I got one of my crazy ideas and decided that it was the day to wash the dogs. They hadn't had a bath in a very long time, and the sun was shining, so I decided that we could swing it. Nathan had to help, of course. I don't know that I will ever understand myself. The poor dogs survived, and I felt bad enough to allow them inside for a while. Nathan is really enjoying that. ;-)
Anyway, after the dog-washing adventure, Nathan ate supper, and I decided to bathe him before his father came home. I had to change him in the living room since he required wipes, so I just undressed him in there and let him follow me to the bathroom. Usually I have no problems, but I forgot that the dogs were in the house. Nathan decided to take a detour through the kitchen while I was in the bathroom turning the water on to get hot. Just as I began wondering why Nathan was taking so long, I heard a loud bump and scream. I ran to the kitchen to see Nathan getting up with a nice red mark on his forehead. Then I notice the "water" on the floor. There was absolutely no reason for water to be on my kitchen floor. Since I am a genius, I deduced the fact that someone had relieved themselves recently. I asked Nathan, and he said, "Gimi." Again, being a genius, I know how to see whether or not a dog has relieved himself recently. Gimli was not the culprit. Monty was sleeping soundly through the whole ordeal (he's such a cat-dog), so that left Nathan. Beautiful. As I grabbed a towel and began cleaning up the mess, Nathan ran back to the bathtub and got in. I didn't have the stopper in the tub, but the water by this time was extremely hot. Thus began more squealing. Nathan is pretty fast, though, because by the time I got to the bathroom he was almost all the way out of the tub again. ha I didn't feel too badly since the water was only in the front of the tub and not very deep. Poor kid, between his head and feet I'm sure he felt wonderful. I'm just hoping that maybe he is cured of dancing in whatever water he finds on the floor and trying to fall. Hoping.
Anyway, Evan got home and brought beautiful cheery flowers and chocolate; and I couldn't figure out why on earth I felt so drained.

You didn't tell me about all this on the phone! Wow! I guess Nathan SHOULD learn to stay out of the water unless his mother puts him in! Ha
Lol. That one actually made me laugh aloud. You have such a lovely, entertaining son. Aren't you glad he doesn't let you be bored? ;-)
