This morning when I first woke up I thought I probably wouldn't have as busy of a day today as I did yesterday. That bubble was burst the minute Evan walked back in the room to inform me that our refrigerator door had been open all night. :-( Our refrigerator door is usually very good about shutting, but....it needed extra help yesterday, help that we are not accustomed to giving. You see, yesterday evening I had my chicken boiling, my soups and broth mixed, and my milk and butter mixed; all waiting to be put together to make chicken pot pie. I was on top of everything. Then my darling husband called saying that we should probably go shopping for our Easter/picture-taking clothes. I didn't have time to take the chicken out, let it cool, debone it, and put it away; so I put the chicken on a platter, let it cool a little, wrapped it in foil, and placed it in the refrigerator. However, in order to completely shut the door, I had to help (read "push") the door shut. No big deal; it shut. I put my soup mixture in a plastic bowl, my milk mixture in another bowl, and thought how neatly I had done everything.
So, my wonderful neighbor came over this morning and brought Nathan some milk then helped me empty out all the dairy and meat products plus all leftovers in the refrigerator. Then I had to make a list and go shopping. The good thing was that several things that I had to buy were on sale today, so that made me feel a little better. Ah well.
Nathan is napping right now, and I am enjoying the wonderful 2-hour nap. I feel like I can get so much done and still have a little down-time whenever he takes a long nap. I have uploaded more pictures to Shutterfly, swept and mopped my kitchen floor, ironed Evan's shirt, and crocheted a few more squares. Of course, now I am blogging...my down-time. :-)
