Trying to remember. . .

...what I was going to write about. Hmmm. I might have to just go and take a nap. Nathan is sleeping right now, for the first time today, so I might have to take my opportunity. I don't know why I feel so drained.
This past weekend went well, although it went too quickly. We got to Texas Friday night and came home Sunday after breakfast. Saturday we visited at MeeMaw's, went to the memorial service, and spent the rest of the day at the in-laws' house. Nathan definitely loves all of his grandparents and great-grandparents. It is nice to have a kid who warms up to people really quickly, especially since we don't get to see everyone in Texas all the time. Of course, I remember one of my aunts saying that she showed her kids pictures of the people they didn't see often and it helped them warm up to those people when they did see them. Nathan loves looking at pictures and can name almost anyone in my whole family, so I'm sure that helps.
Nathan was his typical traveling self this weekend and didn't really eat much. I don't think the runny nose helped, but he slept all night both nights we were there! This morning he got right back on track, though, and ate a whole bowl of oatmeal with raisins, about six pieces of mommy's mini wheats, and an apple juice ice pop (specifically given so mommy could make her grocery list).
After I made my list, I paid bills and got the two of us ready for our shopping. We stopped at Sam's and got the few bulk items that I usually buy (meat and dog food); then we headed to Reasors. I got Nathan strapped in the cart, and as I reached for my purse I began thinking, "Hmmm, don't remember putting my list in there...." Nope. It wasn't there. Guess what? I only forgot one item, and that item was only a veggie for a side dish which I can easily replace. Woo hoo! Of course, the list wasn't too long, so I can't brag too much. :-)
When I finished shopping, I went to the front and began checking out. Nathan started waving and saying "hi" to the ladies who were checking and sacking, and they were laughing at his huge grin. One of the ladies turned her back to keep working, and Nathan started yelling, "MAAAA-aaaaan!" I told him that the person was a woman, and he promptly corrected his mistake by yelling, "WOOO-man!" He was desperately trying to get her attention. ha When I finished unloading my groceries, I pushed him and the cart to the place where a little old man was sacking groceries. He had his back to Nathan who started yelling, "WOOO-man!!" at his back. I was laughing so hard that I know my face was turning red. However, the man probably couldn't hear very well because he didn't turn around until a few minutes later. Then Nathan would only stare at him while the man poked Nathan's belly. ha Later, as I was putting my groceries in the car, Nathan started yelling, "Maaa-aaan" at some other random person in the parking lot. He does make me smile.
Well, I think I remembered everything. Now maybe I'll go lie down for a few mintues.
