I feel like I'm finally "back in the saddle" after our trip to Texas. I've cleaned my house (or I've gotten back in the cycle of cleaning, my house is never perfectly "clean"), paid bills, balanced the checkbook, and have now gone to more garage sales. ;-) Some people enjoy going to the mall to shop; I love to go to garage sales. This morning I got a bucket of blocks for a dollar, nice dress shoes for Nathan for two dollars, two shirts for Nathan for a total of 50 cents, and a blow-up float for Nathan for a dollar. Lovely.
By the way, the picture has nothing to do with me tying up my son; he wanted to be in the water hose. ;-) He loves to play outside, and generally a few sticks, acorns, and a bucket are all he needs to be perfectly happy.
Another by the way, we were watching the news last night about the polygamist sect people, and the newscaster mentioned that some of the kids seemed to be completely stable, despite the fact that they were expected to always obey. Ummmmmm, okay. I thought the instability was linked to being forced to marry at 12 0r 13, not to strict obedience. Guess I was wrong. Oh well, at least Nathan has some hope of still turning out "stable."
And, lastly, a link to a post that I am trying to learn from. Argh.
