We haven't had a lot of snow, but we did get a little! Looking at the weather, I think the snow may "stick around" for a few days. Nathan has done pretty well inside the last two days. I try to let him go outside for at least fifteen minutes or so even if it is really cold. I think the fresh air does us both good. :-) Yesterday I set up his little tent in the living room for a little change of pace. Then Daddy came home early from work and played in it with Nathan.
One of the phrases I hear very often from Nathan's mouth is "Daddy, peas pay in my room with me, Daddy?" ha Thus the last picture. Evan compromised, and Nathan was content. :-)
I am very much looking forward to warmer weather...and sunshine. Our days go by much more quickly when we can go outside! Lately, Nathan wants me to sit by the driveway while he piles leaves beside me. He then comes and sits down to look at and talk about the leaves with me. :-) I blame it on Charlotte Mason. She wrote about training children's powers of observation, and I took her advice. He was piling leaves beside me then sat down, so I started talking about the leaves. What color is it? Can you find another like it? Which tree do you think it came from? (Some of our trees are stubbornly hanging on to their dead leaves for some reason.) Nathan sat there for quite a while just talking about the leaves. I wish I had had a camera with me. At one point he was kneeling on one knee, his hands on the other knee, just looking intently at me and asking questions. Have I mentioned that I think my child is cute? :-) I have a harder time thinking of interesting things to do while we are inside.
Well, I must go. I promised Evan some hot chocolate, so I should get that started.
