:-)
Evan and Nathan have gone to the store to look for some buckets, so I am sitting here on the couch waiting patiently for them to get back. I have found a wonderful diversion from being bored, though. I look at sites like this one and get excited about actually starting school with Nathan, even though that time is still a bit down the road. :-) I never got this excited about teaching regular school, for some strange reason.
Evan and Nathan have been getting a lot of quality time lately. Evan is such a great dad. He loves his kiddo, and the feeling is definitely mutual. Evan took yesterday off work in order to stay home with us while Mom spends the weekend at home. Nathan follows Evan around, and they do almost everything together. This morning they went out back and killed the huge cicada-killer wasp/hornet things that have infested our area. They (okay, well, Evan) killed about 22 yesterday and another 15 or so today. The good thing is that they are completely non-agressive. Evan and Nathan go outside with fly-swatters and go crazy. :-) It is actually quite funny to watch.
I watched Nathan for a while this afternoon when Evan mowed the yard; then Evan came in and asked Nathan if he wanted to help daddy outside. Can you guess Nathan's answer?? When they came back in, Nathan told me with a very important air that he and daddy had been working outside. His face was all red and hot, but he was very pleased with himself. I think Evan is going to find that his next round of school (to get the accounting requirements for the CPA) will be a bit more difficult, especially now that Nathan knows just how much he can do with his daddy.
Well, Evan is bringing me food! Yay!!
