Life with Two

We had our first outing with two kids today. We all loaded up and went grocery shopping. Evan stayed in the car with Nathan and Noelle, and I ran in two stores. I was really fast, but in Walmart there were some super-slow checkers who took FOR-E-VER. When I got back to the car, Evan was sitting squished between the two carseats in the back holding a crying Noelle. Ah well. I enjoyed my little taste of grocery shopping. :-)

We came home, ate lunch (Noelle was first in line), and then put both of them down for a nap. It was a weird feeling to have both of them napping in the same room at the same time! While they were napping, I baked some cookies, made some rice, boiled eggs, and washed dishes. Saturday will be my cook ahead day for the next few months, I think. I am going to cook black beans overnight and make some black bean burritos tomorrow. I am hoping to freeze them for quick lunch meals for me and Nathan. We'll see how they turn out. I may even make some with eggs for breakfast burritos.

After doing all that, I am feeling it in my back! I guess the only way to get over the soreness is to work it out! Noelle actually slept well last night, so I felt semi-normal this morning when I woke up. I do so much better when I've had a little sleep. :-)
