Whew!

I am starting to feel the effects of my weekend now. ha I had a Pampered Chef party this afternoon, and it was pretty fun. It was my third try since the first was cancelled due to bedrest and the second due to the fact that only one person was going to be able to come (weeknight during the school year is not good timing). Anyway, it was great incentive for me to clean my house!
Most of my tiredness probably comes from being awake from 3:00-6:00 Friday morning then back awake at 7:00 when Nathan got up. Noelle woke up at 3:00, and Evan brought her to me in bed so I could just feed her there. She started trying to eat then threw up. She started screaming, and I turned on the light. It had come out of her nose and everything. Yuck. I calmed her down, but she started making a funny noise every time she tried to swallow. It is that noise that babies make when they've been crying and start to calm down (almost like a hiccup). She kept doing it every time she tried to swallow, and she couldn't even nurse. I had no clue how to help her. That went on for about an hour until I finally just got her to go back to sleep on me as I was sitting in the recliner. I sat with her about an hour; then she woke up and ate like normal. I finally got her back to sleep around 6 a.m. but had to wake up at 7 a.m. when Nathan got up. I do not do well dealing with weird stuff in the middle of the night. I think what scared me most was that she couldn't even nurse even though she was hungry.
So, that is how my weekend started. I tried to take a nap Friday afternoon when they were both down for a nap, but Noelle kept waking up and fussing every 10 minutes or so, so I finally got up and scrubbed my kitchen floor. :-)
I think the vaccinations really got to her this week. They gave her an oral vaccine (which Nathan didn't get), and her diapers just today got back to normal. I'm hoping that is why she's been so difficult this week. This morning she took a 2-1/2 hour nap, so I think she's finally catching up on some of the sleep she's been missing. Now for Mommy's sleep...or do I ever get to catch up?! :-P
Nathan seems to be unphased by Noelle. He hasn't shown any signs of jealousy or acting out, and he will stay asleep even if she wakes up screaming during his naptime or in the middle of the night. My only problem is keeping him away from her. ha He loves to be right in her face, so I have to constantly remind him to back up. Of course, she's been bumped and jostled and startled quite a bit. I try not to say anything to him unless he's doing something that could potentially hurt her. She smiles a lot at him, and I always tell him that she likes him. :-) I guess we'll see if this relationship continues so smoothly once she can actually get into his things. ha
