Lookee-lookee!!

ha ha I am actually posting again! I think it has to do with the fact that I don't feel well enough to start any kitchen adventures or any other types of adventures. I have a head cold. My ears feel plugged and pressurized, and my head is not very happy to be surrounded by loud noises. (By the way, Nathan is playing his recorder right now, and Noelle is mimicking the sound with her voice.)
I was sick over the weekend, and Evan even stayed home Sunday to let me rest since I had fever Saturday night. That was nice. I just can't kick this for some reason. Blugh. Today I went scrounging around in my medicine cabinet and picked out some echinacea drops, ear drops, and sinus spray. Hopefully one of those will work. Oh, and I also put about 8 cloves of raw garlic in my guacamole, so I'll smell like a garlic clove tonight. Evan doesn't care; he just wants his childcare provider to get well. ;-)
Nathan locked his dumptruck in the bathroom this morning to keep it away from Noelle. I asked, "HOW are YOU going to get it out???" Hmmmm, he didn't know. So I had to get precision screwdrivers out of the garage and open the door. I came back inside to both kiddos sitting at the kitchen table telling stories. ha
Noelle is doing pretty well with potty-training. She has been doing quite a bit on her own, so much so that I have to keep an eye on her because she likes to go potty then empty her potty into the big potty all by herself. Yesterday she decided that she wanted to go on the big potty, and she's actually pretty coordinated with it. The only problem is if she's goofing off. Goofing off while standing on a stool with your pants around your ankles is always a recipe for disaster. I haven't cleaned poopy diaper/underpants in three days now. The tee tee is a bit harder to control, especially since I've been trying to get her to drink lots of water.
Oh, Nathan counted to 1,200 by 10's yesterday! That feat led to a discussion of place value, and I felt so accomplished! ha It's amazing what five minutes of focused, interested attention from your student will do. ;-) He can count to 100 by 5's and 20 by 2's. I'm also having him read one BOB book a day (of the first set).
Well, I might try uploading three consecutive videos. I should start now. Maybe I'll be done by bedtime. ;-)
