This day has been mainly about surviving. ;-) I really don't do well on five hours of sleep. ha
Evan got home around 11:30 last night. He had forgotten that he needed to pack until I asked him. ha He was tired. So it was later than that when we went to sleep. He set the alarm for 5 o'clock and headed out this morning around 5:30. Noelle woke up at 6:30.
I have had so much motivation and energy all week, but today I have just felt wiped out. And Noelle screams like a banshee every time Nathan looks at her the wrong way. I was having a really rough morning until I turned on praise and worship music really loudly and sang for a while. :-) We actually got some school work done (not too much bookwork, mostly playing around with concepts he is learning) and tried a color wheel activity which didn't really work. I took a little nap when Noelle was napping, although a random number called and woke me up. ha At least that will help. I usually don't sleep well when Evan is gone, but maybe I'll be so tired that I will just go to sleep tonight.
We were supposed to go to our homeschool group's park day tomorrow at a splash pad, but I've decided that we are not going. It is supposed to get up to 107 tomorrow, and the park is almost 30 minutes away. And I'm tired. We may go somewhere closer and a bit earlier in the morning to let the kiddos run off some energy, though. We'll see. Or, I'll see. ;-) I really dislike days when I have no motivation.
Let's see. Something good. Remind me at some point to tell another story about our neighbor. Wow. Major drama.
That's not good.
Good: several moms in our little group are coming over to my house this evening to plan our nature studies for the fall semester. I am hoping to ban my kids to their rooms and then put them to bed. Think it will work? :-) Oh, and the cookies we made last night...soooooo good.
AND, I really like my children. They are lovely. I am really having so much fun being their mother, yes, even mother to the screaming banshee who is currently sitting in my lap asking if Nonni wants 4 or 20. I told her 20. Definitely.
