So far, so good! I can't express how happy I am. I still feel like I should hold my breath...like something (or some really bad kid) is just around the corner. :-) I did get another kid this morning, but he seems to be really sweet. I know that some of my kids will be getting on my nerves at some point this year (that was my disclaimer), but this class is just so much better than last year's class!! Ahhh.
Yesterday afternoon I left school immediately so I could get my dogs and take them to the vet. They were both due for their shots. Let me just say, taking two dogs to the vet is quite a chore. Last time I had Hannah to help me, but this time BOTH leashes were wrapped around my legs. :-) Gimli is doing great; Monty has skin problems (maybe allergies). Argh. My vet said that Gimli is like a perfect first-born and that Monty is the problem child. How true. :-) Anyway, we got something from the pet store that has fatty acids in it to put in Monty's food. Hopefully that will help.
Evan came up to the school with me last night and cut carpet squares out of our carpet scraps while I got ready for today. I had to leave so quickly after school that I didn't have time to "get my head on straight" for today. :-) Uh oh, I hear the kindergarteners next door...the poor teacher, she is a first-year teacher and sounds like she has as bad of a class as I had last year (she was crying at lunch and after school). I definitely feel compassion.
