Another Day

I am feeling better today, even though I've been awake since 5 o'clock this morning! I had a little bit of nausea while I was getting ready, but the rest of the morning has gone well. I had to come munch on some Apple Jacks during the science lesson because they were brainstorming different foods, and I was getting hungry! ha

This afternoon will probably go quickly because I have a lot to get done, and most of the stuff will be interesting for the kids (it always goes better when they are interested). ha I have started them on a colony project, and they are working on that in social studies. I split them into three groups: New England Colonies, Middle Colonies, and Southern Colonies. They are researching their colonies; then they will build a model of a colonial town. I am much more organized than I was last year, and I am hearing much better ideas from this group of kids. :-) It is also helpful for them to have something like that to do during these hot afternoons when my room is just muggy (no A/C, unseasonably hot November).

Well, I have one minute to go outside to get my kids. I guess I should start heading that way!
