Writing Test

Today is the fifth grade state writing test. I am sitting here keeping an eye on them and grading papers. There is one boy who is sitting quite close to my desk, and I see five paragraphs! He is one of my high-maintenance children who takes a lot of attention, but I can actually see how he has learned something. I am also very happy that he worked hard and did not get frustrated even though I could not help him.

I have now outgrown almost all of my regular clothes. Today I had to wear one of my larger maternity shirts and a pair of pants that are a bit too big (I forgot that the ones I was going to wear are waiting to be washed), so I feel a big "cowish." However, my darling husband assured me that I did not look like a cow, more like a sea lion (or something like that). Ha, he thinks he is so funny. :-)

Well, I must get back to my grading. I hope to be completely caught up by the time they all finish.
