So much to blog, so little time. :-)

Okay, I must tell this little story about my little man. Night before last, I was going to give him a bath. I ran the water and called him back to me (he was in the living room with his daddy). When he came back I discovered he had a yucky diaper, so Daddy brought me the wipes.

Because my main objective was to get the boy in the bathtub, I just rolled the diaper and set it to the side. After the bath, I took him to the living room, dried him off, and clothed him. ;-) I got up to put the towel away, and he took off. I heard his triumphant squealing and looked down the hall....only to see him holding his diaper up like a trophy. I must admit, I did not keep my composure. I began squealing myself (no!no!no!) which only caused him to laugh and wave the diaper around. I finally retrieved the diaper, not without grabbing other...stuff, and I told his daddy to come and get him. ha Evan kind-of gagged when he walked around the corner, but I figure he saw that I was in no mood to be turned down. So he took his filthy offspring and washed him and removed his clothes. I took about that long just to wash my hands, and Evan must have supposed that I had already cleaned up the mess in the hall...I had not. He put Nathan down, and Nathan went right to the hall to retrieve some of the contents of the diaper. Soooo, Daddy got to wash him again. We finally got the hall clean, the kid clean, and ourselves clean enough to sit down for a few minutes. It was time for Nathan to go to bed, but I think his mommy and daddy's shouting and groaning had given him new energy. He ran around for a while just squealing and waving his arms in the air while his parents just sat on the couch and looked at him tiredly. Now, do you see why I don't blog more often? ;-)

Yesterday I let Gimli in because it was raining outside and Monty wouldn't let him in the dog house (Monty only lets him in the dog house when it is cold; and, I imagine, Monty needs the extra heat). Nathan enjoyed playing with Gimli, and I told Gimli that he should appreciate the fact that he was getting human contact. Gimli would be lying down like a good dog, sprawled out on the floor sleeping, and Nathan would run to him and just crawl right on top of him. Gimli raised his head up the first time...after that he just laid there. Then Nathan found Gimli's paws. Gimli is very ticklish; he twitches and moves his paws if you touch them. Nathan found this fact very amusing and sat on the floor for a good while just touching Gimli's feet and laughing whenever he twitched or moved. :-)

Okay, there is my blog for today.
