Nathan is getting another tooth. I can actually see it poking its head through his gums now. So, we tried church this morning, and it did not work. Screaming commenced upon entering the nursery, and I even went in and stood around with him for a few minutes. If I made even the smallest move, Nathan would start screaming like a banshee child. We then went into church and were able to stay through a bit of the worship, but our wiggle worm would not be still, so we went into the chapel area to watch the service from there. Not happening. Nathan threw a fit every time we tried to keep him contained in our area, so we decided that we would allow the other people to watch the service in peace, take our child home, and watch the service from the internet. I think Evan is amazed at how quickly our child is acting like a 2-year-old, but I reminded him that the child is teething, which doesn't help matters. I'm not going to give in to the child, but I'm also not going to try to prove that I am the boss while watching church. ;-) We can do that at home. I am hoping that the "I don't like the nursery" phase will not last too long. We'll see, I suppose.
Yesterday we went to the fair, and Nathan enjoyed seeing the animals there. Momma remembered to bring his blanket, so he even took a small nap in his stroller while we were there. Have I ever mentioned that my child loves his blanket?? We could be in trouble. He has been wanting it a lot lately (I used to only let him have it in bed), and I don't know if it is because he doesn't feel good or because we have made a monster. Hmmmm..... I guess only time will tell.
