Camping!!

The first night of camping it rained a little. We actually went to the cars for an hour or so because of the wind and lightning. :-) It was probably unnecessary, but we didn't want a storm to hit and then decide that we wanted to be in the cars. I wish I'd have gotten a picture of Evan, Nathan, and me trying to sleep in the car.

Saturday was wonderful with the perfect camping weather. Nathan and the dogs played in the water (Nathan wasn't actually supposed to get wet, but, what can I say?), we fished, and we sat around the campfire. Have I mentioned that I love to camp?!

Sunday we decided that the camping trip should be cut short since the weathermen were saying that rain, hail, and wind were coming on Monday. :-) Packing up in wind, hail, and rain is not part of a good camping trip, so we decided to leave on Sunday. (I was okay after a short depression...ha)

Mom got several cute pictures of Nathan in his rubber boots which I will post as soon as I receive (hint, hint, Mom). He loved throwing rocks in the water, and Gimli realized that he could swim!! Monty discovered that the easiest way to fetch was to let Gimli swim out and get the stick then take it from Gimli before he had a chance to reach the shore. :-)

So, all in all, I think it was a good camping trip. I just wish we could do it more often!
