Today

I took Noelle in for her 18-month check up today. She's up to 21 pounds! ha ha Well, I think it's improvement since she's gained a pound and a half over the last three months. Nathan stayed home with Grandmother, so Noelle and I actually went by ourselves to the doctor's office. I love that little girl so much. It's always fun when we get a little time with just the two of us (which rarely happens). She didn't even cry when she got her shot. The nurse was impressed. ;-)
Nathan tore the cover off one of his books today in the car (he said that Noelle had been chewing on it), so his punishment was that he didn't get to read his new library books that he got today. I'm not sure if it says something about my spankings or about his love of books, but he was begging me to just give him a spanking so he could look at his books.
He actually told Grandmother at the table today, "My mom cooks good, doesn't she?" Wasn't that sweet? He is a sweet boy. A FULL of energy boy. I feel badly when I think that most of my frustration with him comes over things like pounding his feet down the hall while Noelle is sleeping or getting up too early (he totally out does me on being a morning person) or just GETTING IN MY WAY. He does tease his sister quite a bit, but they play with each other more than they drive each other crazy. They love to laugh together, which is not always helpful because they are quite mischievious in their sense of humor. I walked around the corner yesterday (to a banging noise) to see them running into a closet door over and over and just laughing like crazy. They also love to hide in Nathan's closet and play.
I do love my children. ;-) I know this post should stop, but Evan still isn't home, and it's 10:51 p.m. I was up at 5 o'clock this morning worrying, so I really should be in bed by now. Ah well. Goodnight!
