Not a complaining post

I think I had a lot to get off my mind; I just wrote a whole post and erased it. ha! I will say that I am currently enjoying Mumford & Sons. I put all but one of their songs on my MP3 player (it has a bad word repeated over and over and over), and my kiddos like the banjo. ;-)
Nathan is plugging along with his school. He loves math but not so much phonics. We don't do much in the phonics book, just enough to keep it in front of him. I don't think his attention span is ready for reading yet. Now, being read to, that's a different story. We just finished By the Shores of Silver Lake tonight and started The Long Winter. Those books are just wonderful. It was hilarious to see him jerk his head up whenever I read about the "Wilder boys, Almanzo and Royal" riding their team by the Ingalls. He said, "I KNEW this was going to happen!" ha
Noelle is still my little cuddlebug. She is a happy little chickie, and she loves her daddy. She runs after him the minute he comes in the door and wants to be held. Then she grabs him and asks him to "pay" with her. "Pay bocks?" "Book. Ree it?" " mere, Daddy." She also has been repeating everything that Nathan is saying. Thankfully, she hasn't repeated his, "oh fuks." I'm really working with him on that. He was saying "Oh cups" and "Oh cakes" before this; he is constantly making up imaginary words. Except that this one isn't imaginary. ha
Hmmmm. We are going to Lake Broken Bow in a couple of weeks, and I'm really excited! It's just for a weekend, but all Mom's side of the family will be there! Yay!!!!!!
Okay, this has really been too long on the computer. I must go.

Oh, Mumford! How I love their music! I am SHOCKED that you are listening to them (and how on earth did you even hear them?).

ha! I SAID that I'm not listening to that ONE song. ;-) All the others are fine, and for some reason they just click with me right now. ha I heard them b/c a friend listens to them. I also checked them out here: http://www.pluggedin.com/music/albums/2011/mumfordandsons-sighnomore.aspx before turning them on with my kids around...just in case I had missed something.
