Procrastinating

I have dirty dishes in my sink. And bread on the counter that is probably cool by now and needing to be put away. But I'm going to blog.
Noelle knows all of her colors and all the letters in her name. A month or so ago she got very interested in playing blocks, and every time we sat down she would start picking up blocks and telling me what color they were. Now she's pretty sure of herself and most always right.
Nathan is plugging along with school, although I desperately need some planning time in order to keep school "fresh." He still loves, loves, loves to color. I was coloring with them yesterday, and I colored a house with stepping stones for a walk in front of it. I went on to cook supper, and after supper he had made a whole picture with three different houses with stepping stones, windows, and flowers out front. :-)
Noelle loves to color, too; she starts out on paper yet ends on herself, the floor, the chairs, or anything else that might've been around. She wants to color on everything. The thing is, she really loves to color. She leans over and focuses on what she is doing and is so cute, unless it's on the floor.
Today I took Nathan to the doctor because he was having a really bad ear ache that wouldn't go away. He has swimmer's ear, so I've started him on the drops. I tried all the natural stuff yesterday since the doctor's office was closed, and it was probably helping (the doctor said that his ear actually wasn't too red, just swollen, and probably because of the stuff I'd been putting in it), but he was just in a lot of pain. Poor Booglet.
This mommy was not in too great of a mood after waiting for an hour to get taken back in the doctor's office. And then I had to fill out more paperwork because someone along the line had not gotten my kids' information from the last doctor's office (that was a year ago almost!). Nathan and Noelle were wonderful for the first 50 minutes we were waiting. They looked at books nicely on the couch. After that, they weren't horrible; they just started dancing and being crazy. ha
Of course, I did not help myself in the least. I had started my bread yesterday, so it had to be made today. I also made egg/ham/cheese/mushroom things in my muffin pans this morning (I froze the extra and will be doing that again...the kids loved them), made elderberry syrup, and washed the curtains in the living room and my bedroom.
The doctor also said that Nathan was very congested and had clear drainage (allergies). She thinks both my kids probably have allergies, so Evan and I are now on a mission to clean the air of our house (it's better than putting my kid on Zyrtec, in my very humble opinion). I have a lot more problems with allergies in my house, for some reason, than I do in Mom's house, so I think there is something in the house that triggers our allergies. Not cool.
Okay, I'm done. Dishes are calling.
