I am determined to write a good post!! ha ha I just never think about writing when everything is going well and I'm motivated to do other (more useful??) things! ;-)
Last night I went to my monthly mom's meeting (homeschool group). It is always nice to be with those ladies. I had to leave early because we weren't sure about a storm that was coming. The storm ended up breaking up before it hit Tulsa, but I would rather be safe than sorry. I do NOT like to drive in storms. :-)
This morning it was only 73 degrees, so we went down to the park with some friends. It was wonderful. We were able to stay there for two hours before it started getting too hot. Before our friends arrived, we walked around and surveyed the damage that Saturday's storm had done. Nathan found a dead limb that he said had "a great quantity of twigs" on it, and he started making a huge pile of twigs. He brought them all home with him, and now he has decided that they must all be cut (with a butter knife). Ah well, he's happy.
It is amazing how much a morning outside in beautiful weather improves one's mood. The kids had so much fun.
Noelle has been repeating key words of whatever Nathan says lately. So on good days, it's wonderful; on bad days it's not so good. :-) Yesterday afternoon when Noelle woke up from her nap, Nathan wanted to go "happy her up." He played with her, set up train tracks for her, and did everything to make her happy. He was so excited that he was being a good big brother. That actually lasted for almost an hour and a half. ;-) It was beautiful. Of course, then he kept falling off the wagon (I would see him gritting his teeth and just trying to keep himself from aggravating her). He was trying, though. I think boys have a hard time holding it together whenever they haven't been able to let off a certain kind of steam. ha They just want to do something crazy.
So there. I DO have a wonderful, happy life. AND I wrote about it. Yay me!
