Good thing I got it over with...

...back to bad-mood blogging.  ha ha  Okay, just writing that made me laugh.  It's not that bad.  The kids are in bed (although definitely not asleep).
Speaking of kids, I just read a Pooh story to them (In Which a Search is Organdized) and had them both laughing hysterically at the part where Piglet gets all mixed up and says that he's making a trap for ho-ho's.  Oh my.  It was so funny to them that when the story was finished they asked for me to read that part again.  Seriously hilarious.  :-)  So I can't be in too bad of shape after that!
Yesterday I was waiting to hear if Evan would be home last night or today; today I was told that he would probably be home by midnight tonight.  The bad thing is that he is IN town now, he just went straight to work.  I'm not exactly sure what this weekend is going to look like.  All I know is that I really, really, really want those kitchen cabinets DONE!
We went to our park today (the one by our house is "our" park and will probably be frequented often even after we move) and spent a good three hours with friends.  I had my hair in two braids and now have a burnt part.  The kiddos had a glorious time...collecting broken glass.  I blame Roxaboxen. The made a museum of broken glass and even invited the mommas to come look.  It is so wonderful to watch them play.  We don't go to the "play area" but stay on the other side of the park where there is a concrete wall and trees.  The mommas sit in the open area, and the kiddos play in the trees.  I think they feel very much in their own world there.
After the park, I stopped back by my house, picked up library books, and went to the library.  I knew Noelle was tired, but it was late enough that the library might have been close to closing if I'd waited for her to take a nap.  She was fine.  My children do love books.  I was even able to figure out what type of tree the kids' climbing tree at the park is.  A bald cypress.  Although if you google a picture, it won't look like that.  Our bald cypress trees aren't in a swamp, so they don't look swampy.  ;-)
Anyway, I should go do something, I guess.  If I knew for sure my parents were coming tomorrow, I would clean.  But since I don't, I won't.  I may go soak some oatmeal and buckwheat for muffins in the morning.  Maybe.
