Crazy days

Quick, because I have fifteen minutes in which to write. (My kids are in time-out in their rooms.)
Yesterday at 2:30 in the afternoon I got a call from our realtor.  I assumed it was in reference to our emails that morning about taking the house off the market for a while.  It wasn't.  She was calling because someone wanted to see our house.  At 5:30. Did I mention that we hadn't had a showing in about two months?  TWO MONTHS?  And I had to remedy that in 3 hours.
I cleaned, scrubbed, shoved things in drawers, and went crazy for those three hours.  My children were beautiful.  I did have to finally put on a movie so Noelle would stop helping me clean.  NOT a teachable moment.  Thankfully, a friend told us that we could come eat dinner at her house since we had Scouts that night and wouldn't really have time to eat after the showing.  The people didn't stay too long (did I mention I have wonderful neighbors?), and we were able to come home, meet Evan, and head to Scouts.
Today I have been really good about not working myself into a tizzy over WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE WE GOING TO DO IF WE SELL OUR HOUSE??????  Instead we had a beautiful morning.  Nathan, the dear boy, has almost read a whole Boxcar Children book (he started yesterday).  Do you know how quiet it is around here when he reads almost nonstop??  School time was wonderful, too.
After lunch, during Noelle's nap, Nathan wanted me to read Wind in the Willows.  So I went to get my Kindle.  Nowhere. We looked everywhere; I even sneaked into Noelle's room and looked.  I was pretty sure I had left it on our lamp/bookshelf things.  Then the thought occurred to me, We had people in our house last night."  So I went to the computer and got on my Amazon account.  Two books had been bought today.  The Bloodletter's Daughter and The Life and Legend of Lucrezia Borgia.
I called the realtor and told her.  She said she would call the other realtor and try to check it out.  I deregistered my Kindle.
Nathan and I kept looking, anyway.  He found it under the couch cushions.  NOELLE.
Called the realtor who called the other realtor back.  Called Amazon.  Almost cried.  Why am I so stupid?? Questioned Noelle after she woke up; yep, the little booger did it.  Now I just need to know why THOSE books??  ;-)
Thankfully the other realtor had not gotten in touch with the potential buyers.  And those buyers are interested in our house and one other.
I want to crawl under a rock now.  The timer is going off.  Perfect timing.
