Skipping Church

This morning we both woke up with stuffy heads and runny noses. :-( I started to get ready to go to church, but when I got out of the shower, Evan was prying around our air conditioner with a mean expression on his face (I think he was trying to scare it). Anyway, the condensation pipe was plugged, and the condensation was leaking on the plenum (whatever that is). So Evan announced that he was not going to church and began banging his tools around (I think it must be a ritual before he starts any unwelcome project). hee hee He really amazes me sometimes. I always wonder when I walk in and see him cutting something up or sawing something whether or not he knows what he is doing, but he always comes through! :-) Now, a little over an hour later, he has replaced the pipe, vacuumed the water, and figured out that there was no air filter on the air conditioner (although two old ones were shoved up in the hole). Maybe that is one reason our heads have been stuffy lately.

Grandmother has decided to wait until next week when Hannah is here to come for her visit. I still have not reconciled myself to having a bird in the house, although Court suggested that Gimli be a house dog while she is here. :-)

Speaking of the dog, he is doing well. We got him a little kiddie pool yesterday, then proceeded to torture him by putting him in it. ha! I feel a little better knowing that he can get some relief from the heat, although I think for now he just sees it as a huge water bowl. He has a vet appointment tomorrow, so we'll see how he's doing. :-)

Gotta run! I'm going to go to Lowe's with Evan. This time he's not mad at the air conditioner, so I figure he will actually appreciate the company. :-)

Allright, Rachel posts! I'm so happy. I'm sorry you're sick...I'm glad you have another week of quiet. I hope it's not going to be bad having all your company at one time. Talk to you soon!
